Open Positions

HydroTech is hiring across our Appalachian operations. Whether you’re starting your career in pipeline services or looking to bring proven field experience to a growing team, we’d like to hear from you. Apply using the form above, or send your resume to [email protected] — please indicate which role interests you (or write “Open to Either”).

General Labor

HydroTech is looking for motivated General Labor team members to support field operations across Western Pennsylvania, West Virginia, and Ohio. You’ll work alongside experienced technicians to set up and break down testing equipment, prep job sites, move hose and instrumentation, support fluid handling, and keep our crews running safely and efficiently. This is an excellent entry point into the pipeline integrity industry — no prior experience required, and we provide on-the-job training with a clear path to advance into technician roles.

What you’ll do:

  • Set up and tear down pressure testing equipment at customer job sites
  • Move and connect hoses, valves, fittings, and instrumentation
  • Assist with site preparation, fluid transfers, and post-job cleanup
  • Follow safety protocols and complete required documentation
  • Travel within HydroTech’s Appalachian service area

What we look for:

  • Physical fitness — comfortable working outdoors year-round, lifting up to 50 lbs
  • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn on the job
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
  • Able to pass a drug screen and background check
  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification is a plus (not required — we can help you get it)

Pressure Testing Technician

We’re looking for Pressure Testing Technicians — both experienced and aspiring — to lead and support hydrostatic testing operations across the Marcellus and Utica shale regions. As a technician, you’ll operate test pumps and instrumentation, monitor pressure data, troubleshoot issues in the field, and produce the documentation that goes directly to pipeline operators and regulators. This is a hands-on, technical role where the work you do matters every day.

What you’ll do:

  • Operate hydrostatic, pneumatic, and nitrogen testing equipment
  • Monitor pressure, temperature, and flow data throughout test cycles
  • Identify and document anomalies, leaks, and pressure drops
  • Coordinate with field supervisors, customer reps, and inspectors
  • Produce accurate test records that meet PHMSA, DOT, and customer requirements
  • Maintain equipment and keep tools job-ready

What we look for:

  • Mechanical aptitude — comfort with calibration, instrumentation, and field troubleshooting
  • Basic math skills, including pressure calculations and unit conversions
  • Ability to read procedures, P&IDs, and test plans
  • Attention to detail and clear documentation habits
  • Operator Qualification (OQ) certifications are a plus
  • Pipeline, oil-and-gas, or industrial testing experience preferred — but not required for the right candidate
  • Valid driver’s license; CDL is a plus

Why HydroTech

  • Direct exposure to high-profile pipeline projects across the Marcellus and Utica shale
  • Hands-on training from senior technicians and engineers
  • Competitive pay, benefits, and per diem when traveling
  • A clear career path: labor → technician → senior tech → field supervisor
  • A growing team with both Appalachian and international (UAE) operations
